appart from being the graphic designer for Image Nation... i also have other responsibilities... continuing the comics for NP is one of them.. this is my latest one...

Our children's band

we have been producing a children's band for almost 14 years.. and as our head designer, Patrick Roberts says, the children's band is the testing field for the adult band... the children's band is my pet project... there is no better feeling than spending countless weeks and months working on costumes.. night after night... and hear nah.. gettin bun with hot glue eh as fun as it sounds eh... but... all ah dat does be worth it tuh see the children out on the road.. playin ah mas... i always think to myself "i love our carnival"

the initial ideas for these shields that are to be used in "Jungle" came from a children's band we brought out 2 years ago entitled "bush bush" dealing with the forests of Trinidad and Tobago.. and the constant danger we continue to put it in... these shields were also hand painted... my role then.. as it is now.. was to actually design the motifs that were to be painted onto the fabric... so... as any good designer would do.. i did my research into the animals native to our country.. then... i had to design images to portray these animals... but in a simple and graphic manner... these are the designs i came up with..

well hear nah.. last week was ah shitty fuckin week fuh me yes.. steups... first off.. called the office on tuesday to see if my cheque ready.. no fuckin cheque

then.. i did a favour for a friend and gave him and his daughter a lift into port of spain.. usually if he have any where tuh go he will handle he business.. but he does fuckin spoil he children.. and she is ah big fuckin woman who does take advantage of him in my opinion.. anyway.. drop them off (did i mention he fuckin wake me up from sleepin tuh drop them off? fuckin shit) anyway drop them off came back home... went back and sleep.. get wake up again.. someone knockin on the door... when i reach out in de livin room.. my fuckin roommate infront de fuckin computer play game.. and he is like foot steps away from the door... so.. open the fuckin door.. and gettin buff fuh talkin so long to answer.. well.. me eh say nutten... them jus get the idea one time.. doh fuck with me today... after that i find out rqain fall heavy no mc.. and my fuckin back glass was down.. so my fuckin back seat get wet... muddacunt... this was like wednesday....
also called wednesday tuh see if my cheque ready... no fuckin sheque..

called on thursday tuh find out if de cheque ready... no cheque..
i decided that my computer was move very sluggish and heed tuh be reformatted.. so i transfered all of my important information and documents to my external hard drive... and i swear.. as soon as i was done transferin.. the fuckin drive shutdown.. and start tuh fuckin click.. i just lost allll of my fuckin information.. ah talkin about all meh artwork.. all my designs... school stuff... photos.. programmes... every fuckin thing...

called friday.. cheque not ready... so i literally have zero dollars for the weekend... it was frustrating...this week eh so bad thus far... dread.. sometimes i does jus wanna be alone yes... that's why i was happy when one of my roommates went to tobago with some of my other friends.. and the other roommate was around all the time.. i was glad tuh just have some time alone.. because these days.. ah could handle de ole talk less and fuckin less...

i have classes (so far) 4 days a week.. and i'll be workin for 5.. pressha.. but money is becoming ah serious issue.. so hatta work harder... bleh

it has begun again

well... school start back... and it lookin like it will be more intense than last year... but.. i lookin tuh graduate with honours so.. hatta handle meh business... we'll see how things go...

de old me is comin back.. and i like it... still havin flashbacks of the current me eh.. but they becomin less and less... heh

illustrations

jus finished doing some illustrations fuh someone... is fuh some playing cards... 45 cards in all... granted some ah de images will be repeated.. pressha yes.. lol.. but.. it's mostly finished... they get a cd so they could run the test prints and work out if any changes need to be made... once that sorted out... should be finished...
